Smoky Quartz w/ Hematite - Harris Park, Colorado

I'm going to go ahead and call this 'Sunstone Smoky Quartz.' Inclusions of flat hematite crystals give a rainbow glittery effect in this smoky quartz point from the Black and Blue Claim, in Harris Park, Park County, Colorado. True Sunstone is Oligoclase or Orthoclase feldspar... and while the name Sunstone originally only referred to feldspar with flat hematite and/or copper inclusions that give a rainbow 'schiller'... recently the name has been adapted to gem feldspar from Oregon without inclusions as well. Lately the term 'Sunstone' has been applied to other minerals that can have flat glittery hematite inclusions... including 'Sunstone Iolite.'
